Summary: We collect only what we need to run the community. We do not sell your personal information to anyone. Ever.

Exotic Pet Expos Community is operated by Exotic Pet Expos, based in Tennessee. Our community platform is located at exoticpetexpos.com/community. You can contact us at midtenpetexpo@gmail.com.

We collect information you provide directly when you create an account or use the platform:

• Account information — your display name, username, and email address
• Profile information — optional details such as location, bio, specialties, and profile photo
• Listings and content — any listings, auctions, discussion posts, or messages you create
• Payment information — when you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Square. We do not store your card number or payment details
• Communications — messages you send to other members through our direct messaging system
• Usage data — pages visited, listing views, and general activity on the platform
• OAuth data — if you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name and email address from those services

• To create and manage your account
• To display your listings, auctions, and profile to other members
• To send notifications about activity relevant to your account — bids, replies, messages
• To process subscription payments through Square
• To send transactional emails — account verification, password resets, payment receipts
• To moderate the community and enforce our rules
• To improve the platform over time

We do not use your information for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with data brokers.

If you choose to register or log in using Google or Facebook, we receive basic profile information from those services — typically your name and email address. We do not receive your passwords or payment information from these providers. Your use of Google or Facebook login is also subject to their respective privacy policies.

Subscription payments are processed by Square. When you purchase a plan, you enter your payment information directly into Square's secure payment system. Exotic Pet Expos Community does not store, see, or have access to your full card number or payment credentials. Square's privacy policy applies to all payment data.

We use cookies to keep you logged in and to remember basic preferences such as light or dark mode. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may prevent you from staying logged in.

The following information is visible to other members and visitors:

• Your display name and username
• Your profile information — bio, location, specialties, and profile photo if provided
• Your active listings, auctions, and public discussion posts
• Your seller ratings and reviews

Your email address, phone number, and private messages are never visible to other members.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share limited information only in these circumstances:

• With Square — to process subscription payments
• With Google or Facebook — only if you choose to use their login services
• If required by law — we will comply with valid legal requests from authorities

We take reasonable steps to protect your information including password hashing, CSRF protection, and secure HTTPS connections. No system is completely secure, but we are committed to protecting your data to the best of our ability.

Exotic Pet Expos Community is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information within a reasonable timeframe. Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as transaction records.

You have the right to:

• Correct inaccurate information via your profile settings
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of non-essential communications
